Gvw 2003 Gmc 2500 HD 6.6 DD Crew

    I have a 2003 Gmc 2500 HD 6.6 Diesel crew with short box,will putting a plow on the front exceed my GVW ratings Front 4670 lb total 9200 lb The plow is a 7' 6'' straight blade with mount it's around 700 lb

    In a nut shell: Technically speaking yes...but not by much and only if fully loaded with passengers.

    loading the truck with passangers adds weight to the front of the truck,I'm thinking weight behind the rear axl in the box, but how much

    On a D-max equipped truck with a plow most guys find 600-800 lbs. to be about right for ballast.
