Well I broke down and bought a new spreader. Was sick of pushing the fert spreader around doing salt and I broke the shyt out of it last week. So I got a Buyers Salt Dogg TGS06. It is hitch mounted and looks like a nice unit. Has a vibrator already mounted in it too. Not too bad for what I paid, and that was less then they were asking.

I paid a grand for it. It actually rests on the bumper too, so the weight is pretty evenly distributed.

I have plowed with a spreader before, so I am pretty good about them. This one sticks up maybe a foot above the gate. It isnt too bad to drive with that thing on the back. Kinda wished they were lower profile, but it is a damn nice spreader

    Hi Sydenstricker
Do yourself a favor and buy a back up camera with night vision. One of the best things I have ever bought for the truck. It has saved my back end more than once. I bought a good one from a RV supplier, color and its a 4 inch screen with a ram suction mount. I have it mounted next to my rear view mirror which is pretty much useless since I have a dump insert in the back of the truck.

    Regards Mike

Im sure it would, but I dont use sand in any of my applications. No real big demand for it around here. I will keep everyone posted about it
I will have to look into that. I dont want to ruin the back of the truck much less the salter. Fortunately the worst I would back into at any of my accounts is a mailbox. But thank you again for the info!!!
Thanks Don. You have a great year as well!!! If you ever need any help, I only live a short way away from you.
