    Okay,
I know a guy that has a 7.5 western pro plow for sale. It has been used three times and comes with mount, wiring, and controller (all fit my truck). The plow looks like new. He is asking $2500 for the complete set-up. I was thinking that this would be a good match for my 1992 2500. What do you guys think.

Sounds like a decent deal, why is he selling? Is it last years model, or has it been sitting?

For comparison, have you priced a brand new one?

That will be your best indicator on the deal.

NO idea why he is selling. The plow was new this fall.

my 8' pro ultramount cost me 3.5k on the new ford, not sure if its discounted since its on a new truck or not. so it gives you an idea of new cost i would offer 2k and see if he bites.

Don't forget shipping though! Unless you can pick it up, but still costs time and gas.

I would use the auction as a little leverage on the private deal to knock another hundred or two off it. If it really has been used three times, basically he has done the trial runs to make sure there are no flaws in it.

    Look it over carefully.

I think i believe him that it has only been used three times as there is hardly any rust on the cutting edge.
