GM Radio Dead

    They radio in my GM went out, or so I think. I will occassionally shut off when you hit the brakes. If you wait a few hours it comes back on or if you hit the dash hard enough.

    Now, the radio is completly dead. Advice?

    Truck is 96 GMC k1500

    It sounds like you have an electrical issue somewhere with the truck....bad ground maybe somewhere. The radio in my 97 would occasionally do weird things when I hit the brakes or the running lights were on and a bad ground was the culprit. If its been doing it long enough the radio could be fried.
