gas gauge problems

    i have a 99 silverado 1500. my gas gause has not worked in a year , and i'm afraid if i take it to a dealership it will cost a fortune to get fixed. any ideas???

    My first guess would be a bad ground.

    Here at home the ones that sell gas tanks will rebuid your gas sending unit. Lot cheaper than a :gunsfiring: dealer.

    mine was messed up too it was the fuel level sensor $378.00. soved the problem for ever.
