Just wondering if you should have a locking rear end on a 4x4 truck for snow plowing? I notice that many if not most of the 2007 & 2008 3/4 ton 4x4 chevy trucks on dealer lots have the plow prep package but not the rear locker. What are the pros/cons of the G80 and which gear ratio is best 3:73 or 4:10 for snow removal.

    Thanks,
    Dan

Limited slip rear is always better for traction and thats what you need for plowing. I order all my trucks with it or have installed later if possible.Gear ratio really makes little difference for plowing. Need to match to truck use, engine ,trans, etc.
