4X4 is simply 4 wheel drive.

FX4 is Fords "off road" package. Major includes are under body skidplates and upgraded shocks, and most importantly an FX4 decal.

The FX4 package comes standard with off-road tuned shocks, skid plates, limited slip axle, monotone exterior, and a fancier interior. The regular 4x4 does not. Just like a Z71 package in the GM truck.

I guess B&B is on the ball.

FX4 or 4X4? Which is better for snow removal?

Save the extra money that the FX4 package would cost and use it toward something more useful in a plow truck application...like a set of Timbrens (if necessary) or a good set of M&S tires.

    Neither, they both suck.

No offense, but after reading the replies, you sure you should be plowing?

Because your question was answered at least once, and you continue to ask the same thing.

No flame intended, but if you don't understand that an FX4 IS a 4X4, the plowing thing might be a little too complicated.

No BULL SYHT (what's syht? Is that Canadian for something?) given. Just pointing out that your question was answered and you asked the same thing.

An FX4 is a 4X4. And it really doesn't matter, because they are both good for plowing.
