Any you guys have any rough idea how long it would take the ground to freeze or frost deep enough with the weather below 32°, to where you can drive onto the grass and push your snow without sinking and leaving ruts?

Needs a week of below 25°F at least...2 weeks would be better. 32°F isn't cold enough to do the trick, unless there's a couple months of it.

The way the weather has been in Illinois the past two weeks, you would probably be fine right now as long as the truck isn't too heavy, especially after the cold temps we are seeing this morning.

Supposed to moderate later in the week though, it will probably thaw out again.

Also depends on snow cover, snow acts as an insulator.

We may not get much frost here. 17" last week - with NO frost before the storm.

As of Saturday are ground temps still above freezing
Snow we got Saturday at the farm made are dirt road into mud Then Sunday it froze the road made better driving till the sun came out
Sunday did some digging ground isn't frozen its getting close First 2-3'' was frozen

All depends how much moisture you have in the ground and type of soil it is
