Front oil leak on engine on 7.3

    i looked under my dump the other day and noticed oil all over the pan, front axel area it must be a front oil seal on the motor, its a 7.3 diesel do we hav to pull the motor out to replace the seal??:eek:

    no you dont have to pull the motor, make sure the leak is not coming from the lines going to the high psi pump in the intake valley, very common spot for these motor to leak you can get a washer kit from ford if it is the lines leaking.

    sure the pan is not rotted?

    although its not a common oil leak but i'd check around the oil cooler housing if say it "dipping" on the front axle housing . also the turbo o-ring on the pedestal are known to leak as well to add the list start from the top of engine and work your way down
