I think I blew out a leaf spring in the front end of my 1991 Dodge 250 D, when knocking down a big frozen berm. One side now rests lower than the other. Does this sound correct? Or is it a shock absorber?

Only one way to know for sure- get under the truck and look!
If you cracked any leaves you'll see it. It's also possible you cracked the frame or a spring mount.
