ford ranger heater problem

    ok, i have a 1998 ranger that i cant adjust the tempeture on, luckily its stuck on hot and not cold...heres the question, how much of a job is it to fix "??, i,m assuming its in the temp control unit, with the key on and the truck quiet i can hear something moving in the heater box..any ideas guys ????

    I'm not sure on the specifics of a 98, but a lot of them are vacuum controlled. When the vacuum actuator goes out the blendor does not move and there is no mix of hot and cold. it will default to the hot position. Check the actuator and vacuum lines. Hope this helps!:salute:

    gonna have to check that...at least its on hot and not cold...lol


    yes i can switch it from floor to defrost and everything else, just cant adjust the temp
