I wish to upgrade the AM/FM cassette radio in my 97 F350 truck with one with a CD player. As I'm looking for a factory unit - which years will directly swap in?? Thanks.

You could get a really nice aftermarket unit for the price you'll pay for a stock CD player and one that will sound better. With all of the install kits available aftermarket units are pretty much plug and play now also.

You could also try calling sipple electronics. They do Ford factory radio repairs and would probably have a unit that would work for you. (1-877-404-4516) ask for Randy. I just bought a radio for my 97 expedition from them and it works great.
