I recently bought a '91 F800 with the Ford/New Holland 7.8 Brazilian engine. Got a great deal on it...because it had a rod knock. Took the oil pan off yesterday and found that one of the rod caps had lost a bolt. In addition, two cam bearings had spun into the oil pan.

It appears I will be doing a full bearing job on the engine...but does anyone have any good tips or tricks for this engine? Should I advance the cam a bit while I have it apart?

    Thanks, Phillip
