I have an old Swenson tailgate spreader. I've ben using it for the past three years without any problems. I refinished it (painted it red to match my plow), but it appears to be stainless, at least parts of it (the frame is not).

Everything is in good shape, except the lower bearing, it should probably be replaced as it makes some noise, but i keep it greased and it works great. It had a big 12"x12"x4" control box, I made a smaller 'remote' mounted controler that is made from a single gang electrical box. It is variable speed, up to about 25-30 feet. I made a mount to fit in a 2" receiver, and there are two brackets for ratched straps to stop it from rocking. It uses the large diameter Meyer/Buyers Motor, so they are still available if replacement is needed. This motor is only 3 years old. I'm asking $300, email me if interested Junes@bradley.edu I will not ship, this item must be picked up in Peoria, Illinois.

    Here's an older picture:

I'll take some more including the spinner and inside the hopper tommorrow or saturday.
