It is all eletric, has a spinner motor and auger motor. The spinner has a speed controller that you can slow and speed up spinner,

Bump To the Top: This thing works great, no need to plumb the truck for hydros, all electric. Two motors one for auger and one for the spinner.

I have only used vboxes how does it work
Do you have to drive around with bed up to get salt to spreader

For small lots you dont need to drive with the body up, usually there is enough salt toward the rear that you can do an entire small lot with out raising the body. For larger lots like a Walmart or Lowes yes we usually run it with the body up and it feeds it and works great. The unit is awsome the spread width is unbelievible and it is nice to have the truck body free for room to do stuff in between storms or tow a trailer. Let me know if you have any other questions.

What type of truck body did you have? How does it lock on to the top I see how it locks on to the bottom I have ABC body on my truck and a rugby on the other

It goes on exactly like a tailgate. The bottom has one round bar on each side that latches in and the top has a hole on each side so the pin can go through and lock it in. I had it on a Rugby dump but it is all adjustable and will fit any 2-3yd body. I have parts, owners and installation manuals .

It is 88" but is expandable to come out to 92" and can be adjusted anywhere in between.
