ok the thing is that whenever i first start the truck up and start to move in 1st gear the truck is very jumpy and not smoooth at all....now i can make it smooth by pressing the clutch but this only happens when i first move after starting it.....anybody have any ideas on what could cause this...after im driving it comes out of first flawlessly... just wondering

That is happening because it is a Ford. Shoulda bought a GM =]

Is this while letting the clutch out, or after it is engaged? Are there any clunking, etc sounds that it makes? Does the engine race or bog down?

it feels like the engine doesnt engage fully at first then i put it in second and it settles down.... if i hit the gas thats when it jumps abnormally compared to every other time i shift

He has a stiff leg with Jackie in the truck that's why he can't shift smoothly

Is the engine racing too high until you engage the clutch???

no it seems to be sluggish...say i start the truck with clutch engaged....then put it into first and slowly lift the clutch..instead of slowly starting to roll....it wil be almost like it isnt getting enough gas or sumtihn and starts to jump,,,,this only happens when i first start the truck....after that it rides flawlessy...
