fluttering noise after switching out of 4x4

    I have not had this truck in 4wd much but after I switch my truck from 4x4 back into 2wd the front weels have a fluttering noise. I have to stop, Put it in park and switch the transmisstion to neutral and then back into 2wd to get the noise to stop. Is this normal or is something going on.

    ure suposed to be stopped, in neutral when shifting into or outof 4wd-- otherwise u can blow the transfer case-- yea that noise would be normal everything is still loked up the way ure doing it
