Windshield wiper blades? I wouldn't recommend it. I'm afraid it would smear across the windshield and screw up visibility.

It may work to keep ice and snow from building up on the wiper ARMS but will surely make a mess of the wiper blade on the windshield.

He couldn't have been serious. That is definitely not a recommended application.

DISCLAIMER: Fluid Film is not suitable for human consumption. Using it on your eggs or as a coffee sweetener could cause your head to grow three times too large and then explode.

OK, so I embellished a little on that last part. :D

Here's what I did. I took the wipers off and brought them in. They are Duralast winter blades from Autozone. Dried them off, and made a quick spray down each side. The booted part, not the actual wiping edge. Took a paper towel and smeared it all around, trying to avoid the edge. Put em on the truck. I didn't have any ice buildup on the wipers. I wasn't out a tremendous amount of time in the snow, but there was definitely a difference between the wipers and the arms. There was no significant/noticable smearing or film on the windshield during use. I havn't used them much so I will report back after more use. I will be spraying down the arms, as well as the plastic cowling vent piece between the hood and windshield.

    Back to the subject...

I have tried putting F.F on a rag and wiping it on the cover of my winter blades to help prevent buildup. Didn't really notice a big difference.
Still works great and is quit entertaining when put on the bird feeder pole.Hours of entertainment watching the squirrels climb up and slide down...

NO, NO, tell me he didn't say that!? :help:

As a deterrent, just remember it's made out of woolwax. Do you really want to be smelling like a sheep down there???
