Finishing up my first season with my Western Pro plus 8'6" and just a few questions on fluid change.

Do you change the fluid in spring before storage or fall before plowing starts ? I'm guessing in fall so the new fluid doesn't collect condensation all summer.
Is getting all the fluid out of the Rams important and if so what's the technique ?

Fall, before the season. Remove the hoses at the manifold, place in container, above the fluid level. Jack up the plow, angle side to side till all fluid outta the rams. Reattach, (I removed the lift hose, drain the fluid outta the lift as well. Will only be a small amount tho)

I change out mine during the summer while doing maintaince.

I start with the plow swung all the way to one side,
This empties one ram of most of the fluid.

Now I service the pump, drain fluid, clean the screen,
    Refill with fresh fluid.

Disconnect the hose on the extended ram
Use a gallon jug and run a hose from the ram into the jug.
    Secure it well,
    Then swing the plow back,
Now that it is all the way over, reattach the hose to the ram,

    Top off the fluid,
Swing plow side to side to get any air out of the system,
    But that's just me.
