Noticed today when I was plowing and pushed to go into float ,it seem to take a little longer to turn red. Ideas?

No worm hole either. I noticed that I started making passes that it wasn't in float.

Take controller apart and clean contacts.
Other then that I would suspect a wire starting to come loose.
My last plow did that or would come out of float and it was dirty contacts at the controller.
Rubbing alcohol and cotton swabs cleaned it up.

Lick the sugar glaze from your fingers first, before pressing the button.

Nothing outside of the controller affects float time, it's simply timed circuitry within the controller.

If it seems to take longer the keypad needs pulled apart and cleaned up (this is most likely, we've seen pix of the inside of your truck before) or due to aging you're simply perceiving time faster so you're not holding the button down long enough.

...the problem comes from licking it afterwards!

I just double tap the down. Turns red faster and doesn't slam down as fast when the plow is heavy with snow.
