hi all, new to the site. i have a fisher straight blade and am looking for a fishstick controller. one of the places i called also offered a generic fishstick for $100 less. my question is has anyone used a generic and is it worth it or should i spend the extra hundred bucks? btw- the generic looks simiular to the real thing. thanks in advance

When you say "genaric" are you talking about the joy stick?

There are 2 types of Fisher controlers, Fish Sticks and joy sticks.

@ mercer_me; the dealer i called said he had a "knock-off brand " of the fishstick. i asked if it was the joystick and he said no. he said it was same as the fishstick but a generic brand.

I never new that there was aftermarket Fish Sticks. Personaly I would go with the Fisher brand Fish Stick.
