Fisher valve body schematic?

Does anyone have a schematic for the internals of a Fisher valve body from the old belt-drive system? I know it's dirt simple, and think I understand it, but would love to see a diagram of what goes on inside one of these things.

For example, does the fluid circulate continuously from the pump to the valve body and back to the pump? When the lift cylinder retracts does the fluid simply get pushed out the return line port?

Would love to have in my head exactly what goes on with these devices.

    Thanks.

I have a '73 Dodge D100 with a 318, but the valve body I'm talking about has a much broader application.
