What controller? also, see how she squats first after the install, then, add timbrens if you feel necessary. is the plow new or used? MM1, 2 or speedcast?

    BIG welcome to plowsite!!!!

I don't know much about fords, but, you'll be fine without timbrens for now. You'll be able to tell by the looks of it when you raise the plow.

lol. I'm the maintinence man for a large church. i'm a chevy man when it comes to get up & gettin out of dodge, but my pastor is a huge ford guy. can't argue with the one who signs the checks. he did let me shop for it though. I talked to a guy who does the installation on plows he didn't like the low profile on the late model chevy's. what's your take?

never seen, heard of problems with it...........but, it does seem to be lower than the fords....

but, that is an excusable reason for getting a FORD, glad to hear you are a GM guy!

Didn't know Fisher was out around CO -- great news for big snow country! As Mike correctly said, Fisher always puts out a solid product, and there should be little trouble for you in the years to come. The 3/4 ton will handle the 8 great. In fact, Ford handles them better than Chevy, and I'm a diehard GM fan. Ford's suspension is far superior for work trucks (and it WILL ride like a truck, whereas the newest Chevy's are more comfy than ever!). You won't have any sag. If you had the f150 I'd be all over pushing timbrens, but you're fine. Good luck, and post pix when you can!
