I like how they added a butt load of weight for those flares that are pretty pointless. For what an 8'6" vee weighs you might as well get an xls.

I'm hoping they will use the new center pin and bushing design with the current extreme v non flared wings.

  6. A 3/8" cutting edge on an 8' 6"? I'm out.

Lol. I burned through one side of my 5/8" in 2 years on my straight blade. at 3/8" i'd be buying 2 sets a year!

    FWIW Donovan's has 1/2" and 5/8" for extreme v's.

It looks like a really nice plow. I'm really looking forward to seeing how they "pan out."

They must have removed the page.

    All 3 blades(7.5, 8.5 and 9.5) are over 900 pounds. I don't remember the 8.5 but the 7.5 is 928 lbs and the 9.5 is 1044 pounds.

I can't believe how heavy those plows are. I got my boss vxt in a 9-2 because its around 845lbs. I don't see the benifit of the extra weight beside back dragging better. I just see it as alot more stress to front end parts. Does anyone else see it this way? Just curious

Backdragging, scraping, more weight to move, and I guess it would work better in wet snow and slush. Would I put one on my 2500? Not if its that heavy, I'd get an 8'6'' original XV over a 7'6'' XV2

If I remember right I think the 8'6" XV2 is 957 pounds, might be less can't remember.

Does that weight include the mount as well?

Ether way still a lot of weight to hang on the front of a pickup, have to reinforce the frames to take it, wouldn't you think.

yes the xv2 8.5 weighs more than the xtreme v 8.5 by about 50lbs, the 9.5 is about 30lbs heavier not really a big deal considering you are getting 6 more inches of blade at the ends.

And the 7.5 XV2 is about 100 pounds heavier if I remember correctly. Why?
