We bought a 8" Minute Mount for our Dodge 1 ton, hooked it up this summer to bring it home, went to hook up yesterday for first time since and pushplates do not line up, lack about 1 inch from the pins going in the holes even with jacking up the plow(it settled in gravel), headgear does not want to push back far enough, any suggestions, we messed around for 3 hours trying to get it with no luck.

I have had that happen as well.
You should be able to use a floor jack and jack it up till it lines up, even if you do one side at a time to place something under the plow to raise it up. If you can't do that drive up to it like you were installing it pull the headgear forword till the bottom lines up with the plates then drive into it with your truck almost pushing it. Then push the headgear back until the pins lock in. If the plow has sunk alot you may need to remove the chain to give it slack.

You have to have the lift piston totally collapsed so you get all the slack you can in the chain or else you don't get enough travel to push the headgear toward the truck to lock in the pins. One of the modifications they made to the new minute man 2 hookup is a cable hooked to a spring that automatically collapses the lift piston for you.

Do a search here on "Minute mount" and you will find a thread or 2 with some great details on how people have dealt with this problem. A lot of us gravel guys have been through that LOL Good luck.
