Fisher 1000 spreader question!

    We have 3 of these units and all we have used is salt in them is it possible to use cinders that the state/township use??? we can get the cinders for nothing from our township.. Has anyone ever tryed this?

    I have a Western 1000, and I would think if it is granular and free flowing it might work.

    I can spread 50/50 salt and DRY sand like a champ.

    I say go for it.

    well i spread some today on my driveway and a few other driveways today and it works fine i dont think it would work to well if it was all wet and lumpy. but after you get the crust off the top and use what underneath it seems to work fine.
