I have the new style F/S controller for my 8.5 ss vplow and I have noticed dry rot where the coily part of the wire meets the handheld. There is a thick rubber "boss" that has cracked and exposed some wires. I am currently sending Fisher a picture and a letter stating my problem. The controller was brand new 3 seasons ago. Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, how was it addressed? Any input would be most helpful. Thanks

The cord can be replaced separately.

Good luck with Fisher, even though it was brand new three seasons ago... Lol.

yea, the cord should be about $100. their parts warranty is one year, against defects in material and workmanship.
