Hey everyone pretty new to the site, logged on last year some time and asked a couple of questions about this unimount I was trying to set up. My dad had the plow sitting out behind our shop for like 5 years. I traded him a old rusty 93 chev 1500 that I blew the tranny on. what a pain to find a truck mount for. Ended up taking the plow apart and just about replacing everything on it. New epoxy paint and such. Truck is a 98 2500 7.4 litre that has 122,000 pretty clean truck. I find myself on the site more and more so I thought I better post something. My first truck with a plow but have plowed for quite a few years with my dads trucks.

Looks good, that mount hangs pretty low though.

Do you plow with those tires? I wouldn't think you would get anything for traction with them...
Good looking truck! Those older body style 3/4 ton Extended Cab, Short Bed trucks are fairly rare

The mount really doesn't hang that low (pic is deceiving) have not been stuck yet with those tires but it does need a little bigger more aggressive tires.

I have the same type of tires on my truck. (more of a highway tread) They do surprisingly well in the snow but for mud... might as well have racing slicks on. I'm planning on getting new tires this summer and I'll be going with a more agressive tread (hankook atm's). I do however have about 1,000lbs of sandbags stacked along the tailgate so that helps a bitlol.

yeah the unimount is not the greatest but it has worked well for me so far. very easy to work on. probably go to a ultramount or boss v next year and put the uni on a backup truck
