Stumbled across an old Boss 7'6" standard duty for cheap. I found this site and did some research. Thanks to the wealth of info here I am almost done restoring that plow and have a little money into a nice piece of equipment. I ended up w/$1400 into the plow and that is w/brand new truck side wiring and handheld controller, new hardware, used mount, new side markers, and a few other odds and ends. Here is what it looked like when I got it..

All products used, except the TSI, was purchased at Tractor Supply. I used the TSI on the bare parts. (A short disclaimer: I am new to the site and haven't picked up any Fluid Film yet)

Better get some paint on those springs or they're rust up real quick-like!

I'm really thinking aobut doing this with my blade after this season. Looks great!

Thank you. The springs are coated w/the TSI which a friend of mine uses to keep hand railings and slides from rusting. I do some polishing and origionaly tried it to keep polished chromoly from rusting w/good luck. We will see what happens when you throw salt and snow into the mix though:confused:

LOL....the first thing the wife said after she saw it back mostly together was; "You can make money restoring those can't you?".

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Any use on the new paint yet? If yes, does it seem to be holding up ok?
