Well I think the season is over. Think I'll power wash plows and take them off.

Took a couple plows and spreaders off today to get started on spring work tomorow. we will leave 1 truck set up for a emergency, but it's easy to put everything back on anyway if we get another storm.

According to the long range forecasts winter conditions are going to return to the NorthEast from March 20th until the end of the month. Usually a storm around St. Patrick's Day, March 17th, signals the end of winter plowing in western NY, State.

Back in 1975, we had 15" plus, on April 5th & 6th, in the Buffalo, NY area. Even the Buffalo Airport was shut down and many flights had to land in Toronto, Ont,, Canada. My good friend was returning from his honeymoon trip to Mexico and had to bused back to Buffalo, from Toronto.

Don't put your plows away yet!

I wonder how many guys get caught with their pants down ??

I have enough salt on hand for two events maybe three.

    Plows are waiting.

The good news is the sun. High in the sky and heat on the pavement. Plus most of those piles are 50% history.

I am definitely anticipating a potential big March storm because we always get one but from all the long range forecasts, we're in the clear. Mines sitting in my driveway in case and all the other trucks have then on cause we're not using them till the snow is gone anyway

I do Believe it is over for us. It would have to snow 4-5 inches to even stick to the pavement now. Going to hit low 60's today. I have washed and put the trucks in cold storage but it only takes a second to get them out. :)
Plows and Winter Tires are still on and will stay on until mid April. However Driveway stakes are coming out today.

March-April are our snowiest months and we also get snow in May on occasion too.
