extending Whelen s690 wires

    I installed Whelen s690 corner lights & need to extend one the wires approx. 6-8'.
    Not sure if they use a shielded wire in there loom.

    Can I solder extensions on them & work out ok??

    They are shielded. If you got a extra cable you can solder it and it would work fine.

    I don't have any left over, but need to extend it out. Ended uo w/ 15', should of gone w/ longer.

    Yeah pretty sure you need to use shielded wire, due to interference issues. I would surf the net, or maybe even a hardware store or electronic store near you.

    I will look at a couple of radio shops in town that do alot of police & fire for some extra cable .
