End of the Year Sand/Salt Question....

    Making notes for next year....this was my first year of mixing my own sand/salt....what ratio do you guys use....I used this past season about 1yard of salt with 5yards of sand...mixed it myself (not very scientific, just used my front end loader)....just curious to what ratio's everyone uses, thanks in advance...

    100% salt
























    0% sand

    All that gets used around here.

    70% SAND, 30% SALT. We use our skid steer to mix it with. It is a lot cheaper if you mix yourself. This year they changed the contract to straight salt, I was happy to see that.

    most of the time 100% salt

    part of the season i was using a premixed low temp. molasses salt mixture

    we mix 5 sand to 1 salt....but 6yd bucket fulls, same principle.......
