i dont think the alternator on my 77gmc k1500 is hooked up right, my question is, where do the red and white wires that plug into the alternator go? I cant get the battery to hold a permant charge, just enough juice to turn it over once. battery is fairly new, and alternator was rebuilt last year. the system has no shorts but the resistance at the "bat" wire on the alternator is around 5ohm. this was more my goof than anything, thats what i get for trying to rewire the underhood without marking where everything goes. thx:confused:
