I have a ramsey 15000lb electric winch and the cover that covers the wires and solenoids got broken off. A few months back a peice of metal had touched a wire on one of the top solenoids and shorted the wire out and now the winch doesnt work. Does anyone know what the problem could be, or something i should try? Thanks

I'd check for any fuses on the main 12V line first. You probably just toasted one solenoid. Does the winch wwork in either direction? Most likely just replace a fuse or solenoid and it'll work fine.
