e47 not working

    The solenoid will click loudly but the motor will not run. I did get it to run once and the lift cylinder went all the way out. Im guessing there motor is dead or dying. Just want to make sure this is logical thinking before i buy a new one.

    check that your getting 12 volts to the motor when the solenoid clicks and the grounds are clean .give the motor a slight rap with a hammer if it starts prob going bad .

    Jump the solenoid with a set of jumper cables. If the motor runs every time then the solenoid is bad or one of the connections on it is poor.

    If it still doesn't run every time, use the same jumpers and jump from the battery directly to the motor...using the ground lead as well. If it still doesn't run replace the motor. If it does then you have a poor connection somewhere between the battery, solenoid, and motor.

    Note: when you jump it in this fashion be aware that it will attempt to angle to the left (default function) so keep your extremities away. :nod:
