I'm looking for opinions on which of these two power units I should get to replace a couple tired E-47s. Controls and wiring are not an issue either way. Right now I'm being swayed towards the western by some buddies that plow a lot more than I ever will. By the way, both plows are 8', one western and one meyer.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

I would purchase E-57 conversion kits to upgrade your E-47 to a E-57. You will only be looking at 300 dollars and change for each one and they will be just as fast as an E-60 unit without putting out 2 to 3 times that amount for replacement. The conversion kits have a new motor and pump which will help out the old E-47.

Thanks for the info. I'll check into the conversion option.
