e 47 retro-fitted w/58 oil pump&w/58 motor?

    hi all i gotsa e47 and was wanting to know if a e58 oil pump will bolt onto a e47 and so be able to use the larger motor.evidently supposably this with mate up and will be using the 58 mounting bolts with 58 motor...any idea if this a go or no no. questin for B&B any ideas?and any idea as to any difference in motor rpms..slower-faster?.and if its a go ..will be setting line pressure at 1650psi ...

    E57/E58/E68/E88 motors and pumps (they're all the same) bolt right onto the E47's...because the sump base's are all the same up until they finally stopped casting a location for the A valve in when it was moved to the valve block.

    Upgrading the pump and motor will increase speed noticeably while decreasing power consumption. A very worthwhile upgrade if you don't mind spending the money.

    And a note, the pump pressure on these pumps are non adjustable and there's no need to do so. When the pump gets weak its worn out and will need replaced.

    Been wondering the very same thing for a while now. Where can you get a 58 pump at a reasonable price?

    A new gear pump and motor will run you around $350 or so from most Meyer vender's if you look around. Also need the three pump mounting bolts at around $4.00 also.

    thanks b&b fotr tech help....that was a question that 2 local meyres rebvild.meyers repaiers shop counld not even answer.. that retro-fitted question..all them guys said is....there all differnt parts numbers and it wont fit huh...knew if anyone would know how to up-grade retro-fit these it was b&b thanks again b&b.
