Dumb move on my part

Ok, I should have quit while I was ahead but anyway.....

While installing my uni-mount on f250 i didnt pay attention and connected the ground wire off the solenoid to the positive on the battery. Tried my plow and it didnt work. Tried it again, still didnt work.

Checked over my work and found my mistake. Moved the wire from the positive to the negative side of the battery and the controller only worked in the down and to the right position.
Now the plow is stuck down and to the right. Controller doesnt respond to up or left. Pump only comes on when the hit right or down.

    Did I f'up my controller?

Note::When the wire was on he positive side, when I hit the controller in up/right or left the red light on the controller stayed red. When I hit down the red light would go off.

Should've left the wiring for the next day like I planned.

Well the pump should NOT come on when you push the "down" position.

Yes it is a good possibility you mess up the controller board. The ground wire, is that the "black/orange wire??? That wire is also the ground wire for the plow lights, the relays (if I am not mistaken), the s1,s2,and s3 valves. We know the S2, and S1 valve works...Wondering if the S3 works??

S1 valve controls the "down" without the motor (white wire)
S2 control the "right" angle (motor running) (green wire)
S2 and S3 control the "left" angle (motor running)
S3 control the "raise" position (motor running) (blue wire)

    Black/orange wire = ground

What else does not work on the plow?

Hand held or joy stick controller??

    Test for the controller

Wasn't a dumb move.I was an honest mistake

    Thank you Twinman,

I tried it yesterday and it seemed to work fine. Felt like it it didnt catch a few times , but for the most part it lifted/lowered went left/right and no issues.

    Man, am I a happy man today!!!:redbounce

    Glad to hear that.

Also sound from you quote, you also might have some air in the system. With the plow on the ground, I would swing the plow left and right (slowly) a few times. With the lift arm all the way down, I would check the fluid level to see if it needs to be top off..

    Thanks again Twinman,

Plow is working well, nice and smooth, left and right.
    Fluid level OK.

I noticed you're from NY. Long Island by chance?
