    Driveability.
    Problem,

As the truck is idling or you if are driving it with light throttle.
It will loose power then pop thought the intake then stumble for about 5sec then pick her self up and run right.

NO codes....... even with a code reader hooked up.
I have an extended warranty so I took it to the dealer. ( mistake #1.)

Things on the list I want fixed.
    1. The driveability issue.
    2. A leaking exhaust manifold. (Thought about fixing the LLM way, ;) )

Over the course of 4 WEEKS
    they replace the.
    1. Throttle position sensor
    2. Idle air control motor
    3. Cleaned injectors & intake manifold.
    4. Camshaft timing sensor.
    5. one spark plug, cly #1 why? (even with out a misfire code)

None of these were the problem.

Then they replace the 2 ox sensors. Even thought there not sending any fault codes and magically it's fixed......................

    mistake #2.
I have my wife pick it up on her way to work.

They charged $400 for the 2ox sensors and time (not covered under warranty).
I thought o.k. not to bad they spent the time to find the problem with out any codes.

They tell her that they DID NOT fix the leaking manifold because it might have an effect on the other problem. DUH!!!!!:dizzy:

Lets see...they are telling me that the two ox sensors were the problem.
But how can the ox sensor be making the correct reading if the exhaust manifold is leaking???

I call the dealer and ask him why didn't you fix the manifold?
he says, I didn't know about the leaking manifold.
I told him I did not want the truck back with out it being fixed on week #2.....
    driveability issue & manifold fixed.....

    Lets see,
He told me over the course of 4-weeks that they had the service manager drive her home for a week, burned 2 tanks of gas and had ALL of there technician's take a look at the truck and no one noticed the leaking exhaust manifold????

Even though I told them it is leaking...

    What a bunch of s@i# !!!!!

    O.k. I feel a little better.......
    Just a little...
    Incompetence just pisses me off......

    Thanks for letting me rant.

the intake PLENUM gasket is driveablety issues
Flip the butterflys open and see if you got oil/oil burn inside the intake. (you may even see the gasket sucked in there)
if there is oil oil stains, the plenum gasket is blown, and it is sucking air oil from inside the motor and trying to run on some of it. (You may also see a lean condition with the plugs) that the o2 sensor and plugs both get gummed up with burnt oil making things wackey......

another way to check it is
pull the PCV with it running and place your fingers over the grommets for it and the crankcase breather and see if there is any vacuum on the crankcase ( there should NOT be)

    hope this helps

What did you pay for that warranty? and how much do i make for diganoses?
(Calm down it is a joke)

    LOL:waving:
The warranty is no good if they can't fix it.
The dealer should have you on a retainer/ consultant.

I'll take a look but there saying they cleaned it. (plenum)
So I'll test it the way you mentioned.

Before I took it to the dealer I pulled #1plug and #6 ( No reason there just easy to get to)
    They looked good.
But I'll test the gasket tonight.

    Thanks for the tip...

Issues with the owner made me leave chrysler 5 star dealer in 2000. I found i can make more $$ and select the jobs i want to work on. but it makes it hard to stay up to date with the stuff.
