How many of you have dreams about plowing in the middle of summer?

In this (really strange) dream I woke up freaking out because it was 7am and I was supposed to go out plowing at 3am. Then I freaked out even more because it was January and I had no contracts in place, because that same week I was mowing lawns still & there was no snow in sight.
I then (in reality) woke up & thought "this is really strange", until I looked up saw the ceiling fan on & the window open & realized it was only a dream.... Now I'm freaking out wondering how crazy I must be to dream something like that...

    What do you guys think?

I guess you are truly a snowplower! :D

I do not remember, but it would not surpise me if I had a dream snowplowing. Truck and snowplow is something in our blood. :D

    Reality

I still get in my truck and go for the plow raise switch first thing.
And I've been accused of shifting for first to reverse in my sleep too.
Must be why I'm so tired in the morning!
    John.........

Garagekeeper - That's hilarious.I do the same thing, especially if I'm tired.Get in,hit the plow switch, and can't seem to figure out why I can't see the plow coming up.

The wife says I do the night time shifting thing too.We had to switch sides,so she doesn't get my right elbow in the face.Sometimes I will do it all night, after a long plowing session.

Got Grass - I have the odd snowplowing dream, more dreaming about what I can do to my truck to make it better though. :D

Sometimes I will try to dream about plowing a new contract in advance, kinda like a pre-run,so it's easier when I get there for the first time.

When it's time to plow I enjoy it, meantime I'll truly enjoy and welcome more of the summer and fall weather. I can always wait for winter. I'd rather don a pair of swim trunks and a set of water skis than a parka and a snowplow. Besides, beach babes always look better than snow bunnies.

I haven't had a plowing dream in a while , but i get in the truck and hafto raise the plow just because the joystick is permanently mounted just left of the steering wheel. Even in the summer when the plow is on vacation :D

Funny you should mention that, in the middle of the night last
week my wife said she woke up and found me looking out the
    window.

She asked me what I was doing, and I told her " I was looking
to see if it started to snow yet"

This was about 2am and the temp was still 75+.

    I don't remember a thing.....

I also had a snow-related dream night before last.

I was at a family barbeque, we deceided to go to a movie, and when we came out, there was at leat 6" of snow on the ground! The scariest part for me was that my truck was all torn apart in the shop (for some reason or another) so I started flipping out, then I woke up and looked outside to find 85° and 93% humidity. Whew! good thing it was just a dream!

You guys all need medication!! Haha, just kidding. I never had a snowplowing dream yet, but boy do I miss throwin the plow on and going out in the white stuff. I cant stand the heat and humidity of summer and it just makes me miss snow all the more. I do the same as some of you though, playing with the permanent mount plow joystick on the dash. There isnt a day that passes that I dont move it around and listen to it click when you go up or down, or side to side, hehe. ;) I cant help it, its something to mess around with while sitting at a stoplight. Mike :)

I read this thread earlier and my first reaction was, you've got to be crazy to begin with, so the dreams don't really indicate anything. After having read a couple of the replies I realized that I had one about a month ago. I don't remember the details but it was the same sort of thing--there was a bunch of snow and I was totally unprepared.

(I stand by the statement that you've got to be crazy to begin with anyway...) :)

I think were all a little crazy around here sometimes. It's either too much plowing, not enough plowing,or too much time sitting in front of the computer on Plowsite. :dizzy: :dizzy:

Speaking of dreams,I think it's past my bedtime.....never seem to get much sleep these days.

Thank God for you guys... What a great support group for a bunch of phyco's.... At least we get paid for it... :D
Really tho, I never thought everyone else also has dreams about the snow....
Anyone else think the full moon could have anything to do with it/

I'm really starting to think I should find a night job as I still can't get myself off the up at 3am schedule. According to my mother I've been this way since I've been 3yrs old...
    Kinda freaky....

Mike don't use Meyer plow controller, so he don't have anything to worry about. If you play with Meyer controller, it would self destructive itself. :D
