Does the Western back blade really work?

    Anyone using the back blade attachment type thing that Western has? I always wondered how something like that would work, and then I saw it on their site. Anyone using it?

    If your referring to the xtra blade behind the standard blade. I have one and yes it cleans better than not having it. It won't do the same as pushing but it still cleans better than my boss.

    It depends on how much back dragging you do and how much snow there is.

    If you are back dragging 8" of snow the plow will start to lift up after a couple of feet and the extra blade won't help that much.

    If you are only plowing 3" it will definately help to cut through down to the pavement.
