i am looking at the super duty straight blade on a 2014 ram 2500 but that is awful specific. i can get an idea of what the mount looks like (how far it hangs down) from a pic on most newer trucks. but i can't seem to find a pic of any truck front mount for a boss plow.

Lol just picture a 5 inch black bar hanging 6 inches under your truck.

If you're worried about looks get a western

    The boss won't.

You can take the whole mount off. The ears come down as far as the bar so you can't just take the middle piece off

Do you buy screwdrivers, hammers or nail guns based on looks?

More than likely not, you buy a tool that is there to work for you when you need it and hopefully lasts a long time.

I'm all about making our stuff look good - but number one priority is function.

How much ground clearance does that bar make you lose?

Here's my 2010 Ram 2500. My truck is leveled on 35s so I was able to keep the lower valance and just notch it.

He wasn't worried about ground clearance, he was worried about vanity.

The perttiest shiniest stainless plow don't mean chit if it doesn't function and you can't get parts quickly - that's all I'm saying.

listen... nothing wrong with western and they offer great product with great results i was looking at the boss plow only out of convenience because that is what the dealer can pre install on a new truck i am looking at and roll it right into the payment. if i am going to go out and pay for it separate i will probably go for the western again because i like it and know the dealer that sells and services western in my area.

so please get off the vanity crap! and move on.

Your welcome. On a stock height truck you lose the lower valance from what I'm reading. Just FYI

Yup mount will be higher up in the ears. You can cutout it but you have to cut a lot out to make it work
