I've always heard the NPR diesels lack power for even every day driving, which wouldn't matter very much for a mowing truck, but would it have enough power to plow? i know it's been done, but i wouldn't want to always have to go finish a job because the NPR lacked power, or simply didn't plow well to begin with...

I run a 9' plow on my npr diesel, have for 11 seasons! Its not power that you need to worry about, its traction! I run really good rubber, three to six thousand pounds of weight, depending on the amount of snow and put an experienced driver behind the wheel. Truck plows great and rarely gets stuck!
