I am looking for a used snow plow and attachments for a 1996 Chevy Suburban 2500 Turbo Diesel. I am wondering if you need different equipment that hook to the motor, such as different pumps etc.

    No

Most all plows today use pumps mounted outside on lift frames. Just find a plow, call the dealer or manufacture to check on mounting options. Any plow will work, you just need to change the mounting packages. Good Luck

I think Diamond was the last holdout with belt driven pumps, but they have electric ones now too. I know with Fords the frames are the same between engines, I'm pretty sure the other manufacturers are the same too. Your engine option should not make a difference.
