    Hi Guys,
I have a 2005 Dodge 1500 Quad-cab truck with a 7.5' Western poly MidWeight plow that is listed at 532 lbs. (plus mount)

This truck carries this plow like a dream without any modifications.

I am needing to go with a v-plow for some new jobs, and am looking at the Boss 8'2" Power-V XT which is listed at 782 lbs. (plus mount)

Will I tear up my front end? I can crank my torsion bars to help but will that be enough, or will I need to put some heavier springs in the front?

    Thanks
    Steve

Way too much plow for the truck. The dead load on the blade and mount is 782lb, without the added live loads of snow/ice and water. Anything is possible but within reason. If you are growing a second truck would be a great start for added security in case of a brake down.
