difference between push plates

    Hi whats the differance between push plates for a 2000 f250 and push plates for an 05 f250. I have a 2000 f250. A guy has a set of push plates for an 05 f250......why wouldnt the 05 push plates work on my 2000 f250??

    B/c an 05 has coil front springs and your 00 has leafs. So different mounting locations. What plow?

    I have the minute mount 2.... 7'6" RD plow. So theres no way to make that mount work on my truck then I take it?

    Well have you tried the fisher quick match and double check that?

    Two different sets of push plates. 7176 for 05.. 7159 for 00. Can you make the 05 plates fit? Sure, with a bunch of welding and cutting and measuring. I would recommend finding the correct mount.


    Like SS said, the frame changed a bit when they switched to coil front ends.

    Pretty popular mount, should be pretty to find a used set.

    Not really....no luck yet. Found a cpl on ebay, but well over 550 for a used set!!

    99-04 mount needs 5 or 6 holes drilled to install. Think 1/2" if my memory is right.

    Ok, again thanx for the tip!! I have some new carbide drill bits here. Hopefully it all goes pretty smooth!!
