I am new to this industry and I'm taking on a couple friends and family's. I recently gave a neighbor a bid and i measured the driveway area and it was around 2400 sg ft. It is a single lane drive that opens up to two spots on the right then a two stall garage passed that. I have done my research and read plenty of posts but they told me they got a bid for $230. Looking at competitors flyers and prices I don't see how this is possible.

Well then I think you got lowballed. GR gets about 80" a year or so right?

80 inches is about average. I bid $320, do you think that is too high?

i think you got lowballed too, we don't get as much snow as you guys do, and i would be at about $375 including walks and a backyard path.

Actually, it's about 73 or 74, unless you use the last 5 years average.

Your bid is right on for making money, but you will be underbid by lots of 'contractors' doing it at a profit.
