Did GM ever fix the pump rub?

    Lots of people talk about the pump rub as it is a known issue that is eventually going to happen.
    Did GM ever fix this issue in the production process?
    I looked at the kit from merchant auto and it only lists the fix for trucks up too 2007
    Is the design flaw no longer an issue after that point?

    Pump rub affects models 136, 146, 246, 261, 261HD, 263HD, 263XHD, and 261XHD.

    Yes 07 and up has an aluminum case

    Could someone explain to me what "pump rub" is?

    Basically it's the pump in the TC that is held down by this worthless spring clip that breaks causing the pump to move around grinding a small hole through the soft magnesium case.
