Anybody ever use Cyrotech? Either NAAC or the liquids?

Application Rates, and effectiveness. Are you using it on a flight line?

First let me say we have never used NAAC before but will be using it this year. The disclaimer is the application should be determined by the surface temp, ambient temp and the quality and quantity of the pack. Sorry.......

Generally speaking 5-15 lbs per 1,000 sq ft is the recommended amount for thin ice. They don't seem to recommend pre applying the product.......use it as a deicer and apply it once the surface starts turning sad on you. However they state late application reduces effectiveness.

Was talking to the guy yesterday who has been maintaining the tarmac travel areas for the jets that a pro team here uses. You would think because of the cost of this stuff it should work like magic.....he claims it really doesn't work as well as you would expect. There is only one other granular product FAA approved that I know of.

We are using it on the parking decks...not on the air-side.

Looking at applying NAAC pre-wet. They say 1.25 gallon for 100lbs, so we're considering pre-applying it at the 5lb@1000sq ft rate but raising the gallon rate. Their recommendations figure out to .0725gp 1K sq ft. We think as they recommend .5 gallon @1000sq ft of either the C or BX as a pre-app. that we can consider 2.5gp 100lbs raising it to .125gp 1K sg ft.

Do you have past experience with this, or is NAAC new to you this year?
