I just recently bought a new cutting edge for my curtis snopro. Its a 7'6".... The cutting edge i bought was a piece of t1 steel (bulldozer blade stuff). It is 7ft 6in by 6in wide and half inch thick.. The guy at the shop weighed it at 80lbs.. My question is, is this too heavy?

To heavy for what? You mean in weight, or in thickness as in too heavy duty or what? I think it will be fine as long as it is fitted properly and lays flat on the ground.
